Often, we are told that we should include a variety of fruits and vegetables of different colours in our daily diet. These fruits and vegetables contains phytochemicals that give them their vibrant colours.

But, why should we eat different colours of these fruits and vegetables?

The answer is because each of these different colours has unique disease fighting properties. They are also rich in vitamins and minerals.
